Babylonstoren is one of my favourite places on earth to visit. The artistically designed garden with beautiful edible and medicinal plants wherever you look is food for my soul. I love going to the farm at least 4 times a year to experience the garden in all 4 seasons as each season shows the garden in a new light. Babylonstoren in Winter has a beautiful calming charm about it. The garden is not overflowing with abundant produce but rather the trees are hibernating, some have started blossoming with gorgeous delicate lace like flowers in pinks and whites. New vegetables and fruit can shine such as the citrus fruit and root vegetables.
I love that the gardens orange trees are laden with beautiful bright orange fruit, the carrots were being plucked from their soil bed and washed as we watched. The blueberries had started their journey growing and maturing into deep blue gems that we will be able to enjoy in the summer.
You must visit this beautiful piece of paradise if you are in the Cape.
